After all these years, I still don't feel an itch to find anything else.

I love the clean tones, the bluesy grit, the dirt, the huge grind, and the massive "whump" when I want to go there. It's about as versatile as I could ever want an amp to be.

    Thank you Tremoverb. You're alright.

I have one too. Run it into a mesa 4x12 cab. It really can do a bit of everything. It's awesome with pedals. The cleans are great. After all these years I'm still constantly tweaking the drive channel though. I prefer my Laney GH100L for drive. But yes I agree the Tremoverb is pretty darn good.

Yeah another happy camper here, had mine since 1995, its cleans and blues are awesome and it sounds best with a Mesa 4x12 cab, set at 8 ohms.

I too, love "both" of my Tremoverbs.

I will say that I am adding a Super Lead 100W head to the mix, for a W/D/W rig.

But, yes...I can't ever see me parting with the twins...great tone for sure.

The Tremoverb is the Rec line's secret weapon. Most people don't know just how great they are.

I have one and like it except when I have to pick it up (I have the 2x12 combo).

I may convert it to a head.

Owned one. Familiar story: I sold it and now regret it. Although if I'm being honest, it was too much amp for me, and I still own four outstanding heads. But I wish I still had it because it's a classic.

I would grab one in a second if they reissued in a 1x12 combo format similar to the Rectoverb.

I bought a Tremoverb new when they were first released, but didn't bond with it. At the time, I was gigging with a two amp setup. I used an early 80s JCM-800 50-watt 2x12 combo for crunch, and a blackface Pro-Reverb with JBLs for clean. These two amps sounded spectacular, but I was tired of taking both to gigs. My plan was to replace both with one Tremoverb. Problem was, the Tremoverb never sounded as good to me as the amps I was trying to replace. In the end, I sold the Tremoverb and kept the other two.

Those of you who are using the Tremoverb with a 4x12, are you using V30's in that or something else? Just curious.. Still have my old 2x12 Tremoverb with V30's. . I've been using my Splawns pretty much exclusively for the past few years, but really should dig out my Tverb. LOVE that amp! Eric

You just got to love it when they get it right. For 2-channel Rectos, the ToV is exactly that.

But who am I to say, I've yet to find a 2channel Recto I don't like. (The Rev F comes closest, though...simply didn't work for me. But that was a single playthrough session, probably would have got different results if I had spent some serious quality time with the amp.)

Using a Mesa 4x12 loaded with v30s, bought the amp and cab back in 1995.
Those speakers are nicely broken-in and the whole thing sounds awesome.

Using a Mesa 4x12 with V30s. It sounds great! That said I'll admit I haven't tried it with any other cabs.

My Mark IV & Tremoverb are the only Mesa I still have. I picked up both when they came out.

Yeah, it's a bit much for me too. The master is actually quite good, but when you crank it up to the point that internal organs start randomly shutting down, it becomes glorious.
