I want to be able to remove my pedal drawer...

    ...and put the pedals on top of my rack during shows. I want to do this so I can tweak them if I have to.

    Anyone have any idea how I could set this up so that I don’t have to plug in and unplug every damn thing each show? Maybe a patch bay of some kind?

    I´d probably use a mixer rack. Have the pedal shelf permanenty at the top, and just pop the lid off along with the doors when it´s go time.

    And you may want to add a MIDI controlled loop switcher like a Rocktron Patchmate / RJM / etc.

    Hi Dave,

    I have a rig planned with just that. Think the thing is 14RU, so plenty of space down the bottom too.

    Use a rack drawer that locks in the out position. Having to re-patch defeats much of what using a rack is about.

    What pedals are you using that you can't do without? If it were me, I'd have pedals that were midi controllable so I wouldn't have to mess with settings on the fly.
