I was angry at first

I noticed that my G&L Rampage was really out of tune when I started playing it at practice last night. I reached to adjust the fine-tuning knobs on the Kahler and there was nothing there. All six had been completely unscrewed.

It was especially crappy because I drive an hour one way to practice, and I didn't bring a second guitar.

I couldn't figure out what had happened, and was pretty sure I wouldn't find any replacements locally. I was able to get the guitar tuned without the screws, but it ate up a big chunk of jam time.

I woke up this morning to my 3 year old son, Sage, handing me a 'present' in a large envelope with some scribbles on the front. "I got you a really cool present dad," he said, "these little things will make your guitar feel better."

He had hidden them until morning to give to me, apparently. I couldn't be too angry at that point.

Great story and oh man; I see that kind of thing coming with my son. He's 12 months and already loves messing with my gear. I found a patch cable and a pick in my shoe the other day :)

I got twin boys that are just under 4 months old. I can see this coming my way
as well. I will have to figure out a way to keep them out of things.

I'd still be angry. Learning to respect and not touch his father's guitar (especially removing things!) is something that I'd be teaching him very quickly.

Not to spoil the mood but those little things pose a choking hazard for your kids seriously. Every kid under a year old I have met tends to swallow whatever in their hands.
