Ian sent me pics of the "TV" Flying V. That milky white finish is going to be so cool...
sunofa... any more details?
Cool. Love a good Flying V. Korina?
Around 7 years ago I bought the first Flying Vee Ian
Made from a blueprintad 58' and it's a hell of a guitar
A dream to play and tone to die ,for very light about
Schenker should play an IA en lieu of a Dean
^^^ I like that idea. He's playing here in SD soon and I plan on being there.
You're my brother from another mother, Ian!
Yeah Ron all good stuff. Don't forget old muscle cars!
LOL....Thats the first thing I though, "is that an old marantz receiver/amp."
The guitar is cool too!
Looks awesome!! Love Vs
But I am an old sansui guy myself.
I've had some conversation with Ian about hardware and plastic color. It's going to be a milky TV finish. Would you go with gold and black, nickel and creme, or some other combination. Maybe no covers at all. I'm open to suggestions.
That's going to be a beauty mi amigo I vote for nickle/cream or white with nickel covers. I got to see it when its done.
I see you're going with stoptail instead of string-thru body?
That's going to be nice either way. I've been trying to find an inexpensive korina V and I like the '58 appointments better than the later styles.
It's going to have the V tailpiece. I drill the holes after I fabricate it and the pickguard. and they drill cleaner through the color as there are no bushings in the back. I'm thinking gold hardware/covers and black plastic might look good on a TV finish. It shares the same hue. Although nickel might look pretty good. I did the black one in nickel and the red one in gold.
Que the ford verses mopar argument....
There is a right answer, Mike. What say you? Maybe I'll just defer...
Specifically 427 Side Oiler.
Gimme a 67 Shelby GT500.
I guess you could settle for that if there are no Chevys or mopars to be had.
