A great in-depth interview with a bunch of guitar licks interspersed.
(I'm not a musician, but it's still very interesting)

This is the slide guitar section..... My fave. Enjoy!

Watch the whole thing if you get the chance.

Watched the Anderson's interview last night, just wonderful. I'm really glad Ian is getting the recognition he deserves!!

I was listening to Albatross on the train this morning heading in to work. It was everything I could do to not stand on my toes and go nuts when he delivers that last big, I am the AAAAALBATROSS, FOR ONE MORE DAAAAY!

WOW, thanks for posting that. What a fantastic player. Interesting about Velvet Revolver in the Anderson's interview.

He is a great player and a very cool guy too. I always love the Anderton's videos. Lee and Rob really do love the guitar and gear and it shows in their videos.

Totally enjoyed that! That said Ian should have smacked that dude's hand away from touching the standby after about the tenth time he reached back there. That got annoying and the amp wasn't that noisy.

    It's cold outside.
It's rare to have a package of singer/guitarist with that much talent in both areas. Ian sings like you always wanted a rock singer to sing, and plays guitar like a well schooled guitarist dreams of. Talent, pure and simple.

To boot, he is a damn fine songwriter too!

I just recently discovered Ian and Big Wreck. I'm quite obsessed right now! Killer player, AMAZING vocalist (gives Chris Cornell a run for his money) and great songs.

Amazing player. Slide or no, the guy just oozes talent and riffage.
    Oh, and there's that voice.

Reinhold Bogner lookalike as well! :D

Guy Hedrick hipped my to Big Wreck about ten years ago and I've been a fan ever since. Ian's what I like to call a "singular talent" No one else has his mixture of theory knowledge, playing style, rock star gravitas, singing ability and song writing ability in exactly the same mixture. His time at Berklee certainly wasn't wasted but he has something in the way he plays, sings and writes that seems to be all his own.
