    Finally got around to recording a clip with the new AF-85 hollowbody, over a minor blues backing track:

    Real sweet!

    I've got an AG-85....basically the same thing, in a slightly smaller "Benson" size body, and really dig it. I've been gigging with it a LOT recently......

    What amp (POD model?) and strings are you running?

    Cheers!

    AF-85 (neck pup, tone at about 5) -> Vox AD30VT -> Line out to Mbox/ProTools -> "Guitar Rig" plugin for cabinet simulation (1 x 12 mic'd with a MD421) and a touch of 'verb.

    Strings are flat 12s

    Hi Anton,

    I've been on the lookout for an ES-175 size inexpensive jazzer for some time. I tried the Ibanez AF-85. That was really nice but I haven't been able to buy one yet.

    Nice playing!

    Cheers,

    Mats N

    The only thing about those guitars is the horrible feedback, but I suppose an ES-175 would do the same thing. I have the AF-105 and I really dig the sound.

    The artcores are a great deal I think as well, really great price on a well made good sounding guitar. Cheers, good recording with some good playing in there. Grant Greenish some of it, my favorite! especially those growly two note chords (hard to explain). Nice job!
