anybody have the specs to the now-discontinued ibanez rotary chorus? if so, does it give the input impedance? i'm curious, because i'm currently using one at the front of my pedalboard, where it serves as the all-important initial buffer in front of a string of true-bypass pedals. it sounds fine, i just want to know.

I'm using one and have had it examined by my technically gifted buddy, as he was interested in it. I'll PM you his email address.

The input impedance is 500k and the output imp is 10k. Ibanez pedals have good sounding buffers.

got a nice informative reply from dirk hendrik.

    "Walter,

    too late response. I know.

Nevertheless, The input impedance is some 511k, set with the input
bias resistor of the first opamps stage. Schematic is on my site in
the "tech stuff" link. You "could" change buffer performance a little
by changing the input and output opamps to FET Types like the TL072
and lift the input bias resistor to a 1 Meg but results will be
marginal. Personally I wouldn't bother. All Ibanez neo-classic's are,
in my opinion, among the best commercial effects that have been on the
market and match up easily to any "booteek" pedal.

    Hope this helps,

    regards,
    D_H"
