Great guitars! Especially the Made in Japan models. I've had 3 of them. One just like the one you are looking at but it had a humbucker in the bridge. Regret selling them. You have to like the jangly type sound of the lipsticks though.

There was a local band around here that we used to play with years ago...harder rock band in the 90s style vein. The rhythm player ended up using a talman (if I recall correctly) and it sounded excellent.

I had one with the 3 lips & it was a really nice guitar, but it just wasn'tgetting used, so off it went.

I've got a sparkle-blue '97 with a Bigsby and humbuckers, great guitar, althought the neck is on the skinny side.

Be aware that there were a lot of different Talman models: some were made in Japan and some in Korea. Many models were built out of "resoncast" rather than solid wood. That might not necesarily be a bad thing, but if it makes a difference to you, you should study the Ibanez catalogs available on Ibanez Rules before buying one.
    Cheers,
    Bert

Didn't like the lipsticks mine had originally so I got a new pickguard cut for Strat pickups and put in Lace Chrome Domes. I use it quite a bit. Love the baby Jazzmaster shape.

The one I'm looking at is a MIJ. I think the model's like TL630.
