Is that a oil leak I see underneath it?
Thanks. I saw Bob race at 1979 Mid Ohio and run out of gas on the last lap.
it only has to last 24 hours :|
Oh please. Money makes cars win not Marques. I watched Mark Donahue win in Ramblers.
It isn't just money. It is the experience and engineering for the race. Porsche has repeatedly won the 24 hours of Le Mans. As well as Audi. Recently Nissan, Toyota, and others have thrown their money at the race, and many don't even finish, as their cars aren't up to the task. Two years ago Toyota was leading into the last lap, and broke down on the last lap. Don't tell me they didn't throw money at winning that race. However, Porsche won it.
on Amazon there is an amazing series about the race called, Le Mans: Racing is Everything. I would highly recommend watching it. Also there are a couple of videos about the Audi wins a few years earlier.
The closest I will come to owning one:
Ya Jerry! Doesn't he have a pair of 959's in his Porsche portfolio as well?
Is this supposed to impress me? Seriously, I don’t know, are these special and fancy?
It's nice to see when these cars get together and get loud on a track. I have a friend that has a 1964 Stan Burnett MkII CanAm car. It's actually a pretty significant car too. No idea what it might be worth but I think there are only 2 of them. He races it regularly. Pretty cool
908/3 is such a cool car. ~1350 lbs and so much rubber. Must be a blast to drive.
200 mph four wheel drive
ah, I see
especially at the Nurburgring! .......
Plus, it has those big arrows on it, so thick headed race car drivers know which direction to go.
