What the title says:
1. Aiken Intruder
2. Siegmund Midnight Special
3. to be determined !
4. Swart SST 30 w/ matching head !
I think I'm just about perfectly set up with my three right now.
1) I'm plexi fixated so my 68 50 watter covers that.
2) My 63 AC30 is just the most incredible amp.
3) My ultra light 20 watt Soldano Atomic 16 is the perfect grab and go amp for making some pretty heavy sounds.
1) CRS v1
2) 1964 BF Deluxe Reverb
3) 1965 BF Princeton Reverb
What I currently own minus one:
Red Iron T-Rex
Mesa Boogie MKIII Green Stripe Non-Simul 100 watt
Fuchs TDS100 watt
I need the following amps to feel complete:
Something Voxy by Mark Sampson
Something fendery -single ended Champ
Then life is good :AOK
Dr Z Maz 18
Sommatone Roaring 20
Harry Joyce Custom 50.......again.
An early Standel......still looking.
A clean Thunderbolt or Model 24.....ditto.
Bogner XTC 101B
'64 BF Deluxe Reverb
Hmmmm, that's hard. I have some very cool amps and like them all.
Matchless King Cobra
I have a Sewell 100 watt Texaplex coming on Monday so we'll see where that one fits!
You know my wife?
Any Amps??? Ever? Money is no object?
Original Trainwreck Express
Original JTM 45
Original '59 Fender Bassman
Victoria 45410 (I already own one, it's my main amp)
True to original specs JTM45 reissue or clone.
Interesting list, given the scope of choice...
Small: Fender Brownface Deluxe
Medium: Fender Blackface Super Reverb
Large: Marshall Super Bass -> (x2)4x12" (emerald green/salt n pepper) with Scumbacks
a great player named Bobby Boykin said to me once:
All you need is a Vox AC30, A BF Deluxe, and a Marshall 50w - a Hot Plate to match and you can make every sound you need if you want to make these kinda choices.
-Marshall "plexi" 100
-Mad Professor CS-40
Here is my list:
- Two Rock Classic Reverb
- CAA OD-50 Classic +
- Fargen Blackbird 30
The three that I currently own (and the only ones I have for now if you don't count my MicroCube!):
No 1. Sommatone Roaring 40 (this could be the ONLY one I own and I would be happy)
This amp does excellent tones at club volumes, has a PERFECT Master Volume that works, can be gigged without pedals and get a wide range of tones, and has a 1/2 power mode (20 watts) that makes it uber-flexible)
No 2. PTP Tweed Bassman (a kit converted early RI)
These amps are the classic american blues and rock and roll amps. Sounds good on "2", sounds great on "4" and sounds heavenly on "7". Loves pedals, those four 10" emi-blue frames fill a room and get into your soul.
No 3. Deluxe Reverb Reissue
22 watts, perfect for small clubs and rehearsals. Loud enough to hang, but won't get you arrested even if maxed out. Great Reverb and trem, and costs next-to-nothing used. It's that blade on the swiss army knife that you never thought about until you had it, but now it's always the blade you seem to use.
Really digging my 3 as well:
84 JCM 800
Suhr Badger 30
Marshall 1959 superlead metal panel
wow... that was easy!
