Which would it be. I'm not saying you have to get rid of all your other guitars. Perhaps you have some that are sentimental favorites, and if forced to choose, you'd pick one of those over your best player. But which of your guitars would you take to ALL of your gigs, for the rest of your days?

I was thinking about this because I have a number of favorites, and one that has to be picked if I had to get rid of all others, but if I asked myself which of my guitars is the total package, it would have to be:

My 1978 Ibanez Artist 2622 (sometimes known as the "Steve Miller" model). It's got a great neck, great tone (which is chameleon-like in its diversity), great overall feel, and looks great to boot (though that is the least of the considerations):

As odd as it sounds out of all 14 guitars I'd go with my Gibson Faded DC Les Paul with Lollar P-90s. I've never found a sound that I needed to get that it couldn't come close to.

I've had so many opportunites to post this pic lately but I just have to do it here. If I could only bring one guitar to a gig, this is the one:

Danocaster S/H Voodoo Tele. Lentz DL90 would be a close second.

My Baja Tele because I can cover a lot of styles with it. Anything from Led Zeppelin to twang.

My GVCG '53 Tele clone. I used it on Saturday night after I busted a string on my LP in the middle of a set. Played an early Zeppelin song, followed by an SRV tune, and then an Alice in Chains song. It sounded really good on all three! Normally I use an LP, a Strat and a Tele for those songs, but the Tele pulled them off really well.
