Where and when would you go?

    Start finger-tapping in 1969 maybe?

Hook up with Phil Mogg to replace Schenker in UFO?

DLR needs a new guitar player circa 1986...?

Jack Bruce was looking for someone after Cream dissolved, I'd imagine...

It's almost like knowing how well a stock will do in advance - but you'd need to be able to deliver too, that's part of the equation. You're only as good as you are now - what situation could you have walked into and become "the man"?

There's tons of possibilities, but I'm going with NYC in 1972-73, to answer Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons' ad in the Village Voice looking for a lead guitarist. Beat out Ace for that audition and you are set...

Anyone else ever think about stuff like this, or am I the only weirdo? :huh

I'm sure more people on here dream about going back in time and buying guitars only to bring them back to present day and put them up for sale in the Emporium.

I'd record the Black Sabbath album before that Earth band got around to it.

I would have moved from Dallas to Seattle with Jerry Cantrell in the mid 80's

I probably would've only had enough talent to go to England during the punk or post-punk thing, and even that is pushing it.

If I had my current skills, including playing, writing and vocals, and the Maturity/knowledge I do now.....I'd start back in 1974 as a Freshman in H.S., and have one heck of a good time...starting a new Blues movement ala Stevie Ray!

I joke about it all the time with my bass player. If we could only go back...........Take things seriously, not pickle our livers, smoke our brains up; and sniff around like young Coyotes. I would love to go back, I can PLAY now..... By the way we have played together since 1988. ithink But yes, your idea is even cooler, I wann'a go way back and jam with Jimi and Skydog, maybe show them a couple phrase's/licks before they have even played them!!!!!!!!!!! I'm IN and I'm Out

I wish I could go back in time and be able to play guitar like I did in the 70's and 80's.
Lyme disease and it's side effects has taken my abilities to a new low, but I have wonderful memories.
If I could go back in time to 1968 when I started playing, I would have dedicated my life to being a master of the Pedal Steel. I admire anyone who can master that instrument and good players are never out of work.
