    I'm even surprised by my choice, but as I think about it, Savoy Brown keeps coming up.

    Followed closely by Johnny Winter or Alvin Lee.

    Frank Zappa. Not that I think he's the "best" at this or that or anything, but he does offer quite a wide breadth of musical moods and his output covers everything from the scatological to the intellectual. Just through it's considerable size, it would take me a long time to fully explore and tire of his catalog.
