IF you could not order your strat ot tele style guitar, what would you have ordered?

in other words if a Fender Tele or Strat 50s style guitar was not an option,
what would you order from the custom builders?

that leaves a gibson les paul as a major choice or some other style of your choosing.

I received a surprise gift last year that funded a new guitar. As I had a Suhr Classic (and still do :)), I ordered a Scott French SF3 which I'm totally happy with.

I'd approach the question a different way. If ONLY a Tele was available, but I wanted that Les Paul dual humbucker goodness, why I'd just slap a neck bucker on a Tele, maybe an Area T for the bridge since my place has dirty power, and hmm maybe a bigsby on there too, maple neck/board of course, how about a pine body, and knobs...4 witch hats and a gibby 3way selector on the upper bout to keep that stuff away from the bigsby wiggle bar, probably a mustang bridge too, bone nut please. that should do it.

Too funny, the question was if you could not order a strat ot tele style guitar. That includes Suhr, Melancon or other S or T type guitars yes?

I'd get a PRS David Grissom model (which I hope to someday)

Assuming I had the money and playing skill, I'd consider:

    Koll Tornado
Forshage ergonomic (influenced by Klein and Teuffel)
Koll Eschete (or whatever he's going to call that model, assuming he ever decides to offer it again - really cool 7-string Klein style hollowbody).
