Greg Koch seems to have an unlimited repertoire of jawdropping licks, his videos are truly amazing but for this one I'd have to pick Andy Timmons, his ability to mix technique, pronunciation and melodic taste is hard to beat.

It’s cool to see how different everyone’s tastes are.

For me, I’ll go with Guthrie Govan for his ability to play in so many styles so convincingly.

Someone mentioned Tommy Emmanuel already, so I'll go with Eddy Shaver.

I'm quite content with the way I play but always admired Shawn Lane's playing

Recently I've started listening to Andy Timmons so that might be my answer today. Longer-term SRV and honorable mention to Alex Lifeson maybe.

I've never wanted to sound like anyone, other than myself. I said Andre Segovia, because his style is entirely removed from what it is I do. I was drawn to classical music for its excellence, but I could not discipline myself to the required study. There was simply too much rebellion in me. Rock was a perfect fit!

A long-winded response, as usual... :anon

Segovia was not a nice person, he was very narcissistic and had no problem dumping negativity on others.

I'd have to say Gilmour because I'm such a huge fan, but this session musician would do just fine...

He was just pissed, because he couldn't play as good as me. :)
