What would you pick up? I have my Black/Whiteguard USA Tele with Duncan Antiquities, a Blonde/Blackguard Partscater with Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups that I love, a 78 Les Paul Custom, and a Taylor 814ce and a Martin DC16-GTE for acoustic work...

My bonus is coming up at work, and I'm expecitng to be able to spend about $1500 on myself. Trying to figure out where my money might best be spent to round out the collection a bit.

Just trying to strike up a conversation - these are always my favorite threads!

I've been considering the possibility of picking up an Epiphone Casino or Tele Thinline as well as a Mesa Maverick/Blue Angel - I should still get in under $1500.

    Thoughts?

That might be pretty good-a new and different guitar as well as a nice amp.

    I'd probably cop a Budda SD30.

You've got the bases covered pretty well guitarwise.

I'm playing through a Peavey Classic 30 with a Weber Blue dog and JJ Tubes. I love it, and it sounds great with my board (Budwah, Budda Phatman, Boss TR-2, DD-3, CH-1, and ErineBall VP JR w/Boss TU-2 from Tuner Out)

Firstly I'd think used instrument, then I'd search for the right:

    Suhr Pro-Series

    or

    Les Paul Premium Plus

I have NO PROBLEM buying used. All but my Martin are used. That's what makes this so fun!

Hands down, a rick kelly strat or tele.

150 year old pine body, 80 year old maple neck, entirely built by hand.

It was a 6 month wait, but worth every agonizing second. and all for just $1400

If you get a Casino look for an Epi Elitist MIJ one.

I think I'd either get a stripped down PRS Mira or buy a bunch of pimped out parts from USACG and build myself a top shelf super strat.

+1 on the PRS Mira... as soon as they are in stock I am on that.

Or a nice amp.. you could do well on a silverface deluxe reverb for $1500.00

Used Hamers, and new Reverends, are great deals too.

I think I'd get one of the new Grosh Electrajet standards. Not sure if they are under 1,500 though. They just look really hot and different.

Maybe a PRS Mira, or ES-339, or Rivera Clubster Doce.
