On the upper right you can now choose to ignore a forum section (click on the section index and then look up to the right) or thread (click on thread and look up on the right next to Thread Tools).

This is in addition to the ignore member which is very robust on this platform.

Awesome, ignoring the emporium threads really cleaned up the forum for me. :aok

Being in Norway most emporium ads aren't relevant to me. :)

Um, no... It makes others you don't care to see invisible. :D

I find this to be such a strange post. In real (as opposed to virtual) life, many if not hundreds of times a day, we choose to focus or avert our eyes or attention on one or another person, object, or situation. Is that imagining ourselves to be invisible, too?

i'm not really talking about ignoring threads or forums, that makes sense if you want to unclutter your TGP "front page".

i was just thinking of when we "ignore" another poster because they make us mad or whatever, with the result that others can see what they write but we can't, even when it's about us :argue

    I'm not getting it!
All I see is 'ignored Forums', and when I click on it, it says that I am not ignoring any forums.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks!

You're looking in the wrong spot and/or you're not in an actual subforum.

upper right hand corner of this page, below the alerts; "ignore thread".

back out to a subforum list, you'll see the same thing, "ignore forum".

May I criticize something? Since this functionality arrived, on the iPhone, the "New Posts" link has been pushed inside the "..." That means two more steps for me to get to the new posts. No biggie, but I do think new posts was more important...
