Hamer is doing a run of 25 Talladega models with some beautiful old reclaimed maple that had been found submerged in a bog. I saw this one at Willcutt Guitars and had no choice but to put down a deposit. Besides the beautiful tops these limited Talladegas also have a mahogany neck to balance the tone with the brighter sounding maple. I've been on the hunt for a fender scale tele-paul and now I'm smitten.

    - The hard part now is deciding what guitar(s) to post in the emporium to clear up some room and some funds to bring my new baby home...

Those Talladegas are the nicest looking guitars Hamer has ever built IMO. Very rarely do I get GAS anymore just by looking, but I've experienced it with the Talladega and new Talladega Pro.

Gorgeous guitar. I remember BCRGreg having some Studio Model Earthen tops last year that were outrageous looking.

Nice looking guitar. I don't think Hamer gets the credit they deserve.

    It's Hamer's own "sustain-block" bridge design.

The Talladega will probably be my next guitar purchase. I have a Hamer Jr. and it is a killer guitar!

I posted a Tele Paul thread a while back after spotting the Talladega online. That one is just sick! Unfortunately, I would probably have to sell all of my guitars to come close to being able to afford that one (and in the current market I'd get hammered). Please post clips, more pics, vids... I will live vicariously through you (for the time being).

I bought a Hamer Studio with the Earthen top from Willcutt's website, but returned it. The top was great, but the sound was much more semi-hollow than I thought it would be. I was hoping for a more solidbody sound. It was beautiful and light on the shoulder, though. Don't know how the Talledega would be in the tone department.
