...what a great amp! do you like the sound?
Sounds good. It's a cool circuit for sho.
Sounds amazing. Congratulations! I'm about 2 months from my first clone and I can't wait!
I don't like. That type of Dumble OD is one of my least favorite amp tones. It sounds like the guitar or amp has a stuffed up nose.
"If ya don't have anything nice to say....... "
Sounds cool. Out of curiosity, how loud was the amp?
very low...room volume...master at 0,5 or so...
@davidleerotharmy I can't find a website for Mark Kane. How'd you go about getting your build done?
Interesting! Do you know if Kane duplicates the exact actual (metered, rather than just read off the component) value of the caps he uses? I'm curious to know how close he tries to get to the actual camp he cloned. Glad you like yours!
or ask directly to mark ...
honestly I don't know ... I can only say that this amplifier has the dumble sound that I dreamed for many, many years. I'm happy...
That's amazing that it sounds so fine at such low volumes. I'd bet it's glorious with the master volume up to stage volumes. Enjoy!
Mark is a nice guy & knows his stuff.
You can contact him here on TGP.
Sounds great! Nice tasty playing too.
Very articulate overdrive, I like that it really sounds like an extension of a clean channel.
I was thinking of Richie Blackmore’s intro the the Deep Purple song, “Lazy” when I listened.
So you have EL34s in there if it's a 183?
yeah, sounds killer.. i wonder how 50w vs 100w would compare with this circuit.
