I just got a flyer in my mailbox informing me that the Music Zoo is moving to my town, literally 5 minutes up the road from me.
If you don’t know, this shop carries mega high end stuff. Custom shop grade and higher for the most part. The old location was a good half hour, 45 minute drive for me and kind of a pain in the ass to get to so that was enough of a deterrent to keep the GAS at bay. But now...
May God have mercy on my soul.

    Ouch!
I need a 4-hour round trip to check out the high-end stuff upstate, but it is an option for me.

I typically only go when dropping or picking someone up at the airport, since it's kind of on the way.

Got my eye on a Dingwall dealer & a Mesa dealer that I'm stopping at next time.

My buddy told his wife that the fanned frets made it cheaper than regular basses...

At some point you run out of money or space. Until then, it's not a problem.

I could have a Sam Ash at the end of the country road I live on, and it wouldn't change my buying habits. Most of the gear I buy I get used and restore it, which is a bit of a hobby and also can be quite lucrative.
Normally when I go to a music store I know what I am looking for and have already researched the product and the price.
Or any other store. Hardware, department store, dollar store. When I go to a store I am a man on a mission.

They moved to the same street as The D'Addario headquarters. I can walk there in a couple minutes on my lunch break....

I woke up one morning and a Guitar Center broke out in my basement!
FedEx put a satellite shipstation on my cul-de-sac! Don't worry. It gets worse...

So they add on over $40k because Slash owned it? Wow. How did they acquire that?

I would love to visit that store! Enjoy!
I got one of my CS ZF strats from them shipped up to me in Canada last year.

Super nice folks to deal with!

I could never find them when they were in Roslyn. That probably saved me a lot of money. I remember driving by twice over that viaduct, and searching around for the store, but I couldn't find them on that street they had listed. I didn't have GPS back then.
I'm almost afraid to ask, but which town in Lawnguyland did they move to? Hopefully it's way way out in Suffolk, like Yaphank or better yet Riverhead!
I feel your pain, I just hope it's not gonna be mine, too...

Good old Farmingdale, USA. We’re right on the border of Nassau and Suffolk Countys. The new location is on Smith Street right off Rt. 110. It’s probably less than a mile from my house. Yeah, I had a problem finding the old location the first time too. It was in some kind of bizarre mixed use community center/ shopping mall. Weird location.
