Impedence

    If I have a 2X12 combo with 2 8 ohm speakers and they are hooked up as follows: The + from amp to + on 1st speaker then from + on 1st speaker to + on 2nd speaker. The - from amp to - on 1st speaker then from - on 1st speaker to - on 2nd speaker. The impedence selector on the amp should be set to 4 ohms, right? I just want to clarify.

    +1 this is called parallel wiring.

    If it were series wired (- of one speaker to the + of the 2nd), it would be 16 ohms.
