Ok, I'm supportive of generating funds. I'm fine with some wisely placed ads. I've previously posted as much. But in the interest of providing the feedback requested, I hate what the ad banner is doing to the formatting on my ipad. Don't want or like tapatalk and forum runner. I want what I had.

I haven't a doubt that the admins will look into it in due time. They're great. Just letting you know where I'm at with it.

The ads are actually a little bit helpful. Thanks for TGP.

I am experiencing the same formatting issue on my iPad. Hate it. Wasn't that way yesterday.

On an iPhone using Safari, Chrome, and Mercury, the banner ads are much wider than everything below it.

It looks like other guys are having this issue as well.

Hopefully that gets ironed out. I actually prefer reading the forum with safari as opposed to tapatalk or forumrunner apps.

Yes, I am having the same issue with ad size affecting the size of the content page, makes everything smaller, on my iPad. It's the same issue that was fixed when the page went to the resizing of pics automatically. Now it is messed up again. I don't mind the ads at all, they are the most tastefully done I have seen on a forum. But I don't like forum runner, it would be nice to see this little issue fixed. It only cropped up yesterday, before then the ads seemed to not affect the size. Thanks to admin for all the work on getting this right, it really is a good implementation of ads on a page so far.

We heard all of you and we've been working to correct it.

I've been using adBlock since my 15 year old turned me onto it, way before the TGP ads came online. Now with the new formatting, it's as if there is nothing there.

That being said, I do most of my TGP'ing on my iPad when the families watching TV and I don't have adBlock on chrome for iPad, the new formatting is much better, no broken page top and it makes the page layout look ... more dignified?

Now, let's talk about the giant logo... perhaps it's time for a redesign to go along with the new ad format?

You've already started down the road of, "don't just cram it in there" with this latest format/design change, why not take the next step? A logo that takes up less vertical space, that balances out the additional ad space?

OK, there you go. Thanks for the open forum on the ads, very cool!

    Enjoy your Friday!

Actually, we are looking at the old logo and are considering giving it a try, but without the background. We're likely to show both logos in a "vote for the one you like best" thread. We will certainly look at reducing the size of the current logo as soon as there is time.

FWIW.....the way it is, now that you've tweaked it, is great for my iPad. (I use that 90% of the time to access the forum). You've done another GREAT job Alec!

And I'm all for keeping the current Logo too;)

I'll do my best. Funny thing is that unlike most TGP'ers I actually had to work the day job today and "took a break" to update the layout. :)

The ad bar I can understand but stuff like below is damned annoying! You do what you gotta I guess...

As a supporting member for ten years, I was a little surprised to see the ads. I know that we have resisted this in the past. But as a business owner I understand covering growing expenses.

I will always support TGP. It's really the only forum that I spend any time on. So I am happy to pay my way. The ads definitely catch my eye but I am adjusting. Glad for the growth of TGP.

Don't know if they are related, but I noticed in my Free Dead thread that changing the title now does not change the thread title. Just the first post. When I changed the title on the 27th it worked. The 28th it stopped.
