I don't have time to read this thread, so forgive me if this has already been mentioned. I wouldn't mind being able to view gear related ads in a single place on the forum. If I choose to take a look, that's great, I am interested in things that someone willing to spend money on an ad thinks I should see. I just don't want to be bombarded with random ones or ones unrelated to gear--I am usually a supporting member and don't have to look at them at all, but I probably would visit a subforum of just ads if it was my choice to do so. And this could be a selling point between you and any active advertiser, since being able to offer a new feature that gets new eyeballs, willing eyeballs, is something they ought to want more than anything.

    Good luck!

Once again, I am getting spam ads/redirected ads when I open this site. Anyone else getting them?

It looks like you may have let your paid membership lapse.
I noticed the same ad banner, and as soon as I paid the ads went away.

Not the banner ads, a redirect to another website!

SOUNDS like a virus scan is in order. Maybe you caught a "cold". Mike.

It happens only on this site. And, it has happened before, a few months ago, again, only on this site.

This is the first complaint of a redirect in a while. We don't see anything and it's hard to search out a cause without several people experiencing the same problem. Hopefully, whatever it is will be found.

For about a week I'm regularly redirected to the same ticket selling site from TGP. It happens in a few minutes since I opened any TGP page and it doesen't repeat as long as I'm not restarting a browser. On the next browser session it may happen again.
I experienced this on both my computers (at home and at work) and it was always only when I opened a TGP pages. So it's hardly a malware on my computers.

Update: I was just redirected again without restarting a browser. Pretty annoying...

I can report this to Google and get it addressed but I need you to do some screen caps and email me the details. I'll start a private conversation to outline what needs to happen to address this.

Is there any way to turn off the audio for the ads? It's really annoying when you click on a page and someone starts yelling at you...

Send me a private conversation/message with the name of the advertiser and I can check into it. That's not allowed on TGP.

Send me a PM (conversation) with a screen grab if you can.

I don't know if this is the best or only place to mention this, but...

Twice now I've been browsing the board on my Android phone when a big "You have a virus! Just click here and we'll fix it for you!" pop-up ad appears. The pop-up cannot be dismissed - I must kill the browser. I know for sure I have no malware and that the ad is bogus and comes from TGP.

    Just FYI.

This has also been happening to me, for what it's worth.

Just found this old thread in this section - usually hang out only in Effects place :)

Anyway, I have noticed this behaviour too, only when on TGP.

My support status is up to date, but I just began seeing ads mid-visit today for some reason.
