My GAS is cured. Not only did I get my 2nd, but also my 3rd Andy. I sold one of my other guitars just in the nick of time, and managed to pull off both of these beauties.

Scheduled to be delivered today! I'm taking a half day off work. I cannot possibly express my excitement - it's been a long time since I bought a new (NEW) guitar.

Kudos to Tom and the gang.

I'll keep you posted. It's gonna be a fun weekend. And my birthday is next week. [IMG]

    WOW,
Those are some of the prettiest guitars I've seen. The pickups look different.

    Thanks, guys!

The pups are the (relatively) new Anderson "M's". I've not tried them yet (there's only one TA dealer in town, and I generally stay clear for several reasons...), but I've heard from my buddies on the Anderson forum that they are really versatille. Can't wait until a little later today! ;)

I pulled this from the TAG website:

    M
    Series

Appearing as an option in all Anderson Guitar models (except Crowdster), the M1s are perfect for pulling gargantuan single coil-type sounds from the neck and middle positions while the M2 acts as an expert accomplice, making sure the bridge position sounds are balanced and big. If you prefer stepping up into your bridge position with mid-power humbucker tones sequestered in a mini package, the M3 is ready, willing and able to assist

Yeah, the M's are killer pickups. They're not kidding when they describe them as having "gargantuan single coil-type sounds". I have them in my HDT.

Congrats on the score, tmihm! Looks like you made out big time.

Congrats on both guitars, they look great. I had a Hollow Cobra with M1M1M3 pickups and they are sweet sounding AND quiet (no hum or buzz). Anderson's are killer guitars.

I like how Anderson puts "Made in California" instead of "Made in the USA". Kind of like saying "they're not made in the USA, they're made in California!" :)

Anderson's 4 bolt neck joint was one of the tightest fitting in the business. The new 2 bolt system is supposed to be even better. It was developed for the Atom and worked so well, Tom is now using it on all his guitars.

My four-bolt one is great.....I'm keeping my fingers crossed here - on the two-bolts!

They just arrived. I'm going to start the box-cutting process now. Will keep you posted - I don't even know how to proceed here.....open them both first? - then check them both out?...or one at a tme? Not a bad predicament to be in, I must say. I'm not used to this. :AOK

I'm really lucky....at least as far as this is concerned! And I always give thanks for what I have.

My fingers are gonna be sore tomorrow.
