Hmmm . .
Hope it's a hardware reissue rather than a plugin/modeller...!
A legit, full-blown 201 reissue would be super neat. But, probably WAAAAY out of my price range.
There’s an HM-2 conspicuously featured in that vid, and they teased it a while back as well. My hope is HM-2w and RE-2w.
I LOVE NEW BOSS DAY
There were a lot of other Boss products sneaking around in the shadows.
I think I saw....
Boss Heavy Metal
Boss Amp ???
Boss Loop Switcher?
Oh no, just when I'm on a Boss spree...
Guessing the RE-2 Space Echo compact, maybe even waza version, same for the HM-2
Is there a black combo amp with white knobs other than the Nextone? I'm hoping for a new line of BOSS bass combos!
Imagine a digital mini RE-201 like the Roland TR-08 or TB-03 ^_^
Can't believe the HM-2 might finally be coming back, praise be to Boss
They showed a Roland Jet Phaser multiple times and a camera doing a close up on an RV-6. There was a dark blue pedal on a stand which I think is a PS-3 (dark blue with stereo out)
Gonna be real disappointed if they're not updating their flanger or phaser, but yeah, compact Waza Space Echo and HM-2 appear to be on the way.
Odd that they're doing two 'metal' pedals in a row - would have thought for sure it would be a DS-1W by now. Some new bass stuff would be cool - been trying out some pedals with my bass amp trying to put some things together.
EDIT: although, there is some serious modulation (almost like a phaser) going on after those echo repeats.
Why does a space echo pedal have to be a waza?
What is it ? A real hardware tape echo unit or a modeler or something else?
If there are also clues in the audio....
I wonder if it will be Boss's answer to the Strymon Volante?
Digital Multihead Echo, with configurable Reverb, Modulation and analog drive circuit.
There's also a curious looking "volante golden green" Boss Pedal box laying on a shelf in the background. Somewhat larger than a normal Boss pedal box.
Will be announced at June 13th (JPN time)
It's gotta be a new re-20 or something like that in pedal format.
They wouldn't release a re-201 would they? Seems like it'd be really hard to compete with their own vintage market. Those are $950-1250, if they built a new re-201 are they going to be able to get into that price range? Because I think it goes without saying the old ones will obviously have magnitudes of additional mojo
I think they saw that echofix and realized what they have to do
