I have a pair of the Dayton Audio B652s, the original not the updates Air. I have them paired with an inexpensive Technics receiver from the early 90s and I like them a lot. I bought them in a bundle with a small Lepai amp for $50. They sound nice with the Lepai as well. The new ones reportedly have sweeter treble.

They are less expensive purchased directly from Parts Express than through their Amazon store.

I am extremely happy with my Elac B5’s. Under $300 for the pair and pinch WAY above their weight.

Triangle Comete. You need to spend ridiculous amounts of money to find anything substantially better sounding.

Have not heard these yet, but they get a lot of attention.

Radio Shack Minimus-7’s are great. They always got good reviews in Stereo Review.
