dumping my old Klusons, going with the closed-case style
    Fender tuners for my strat....

Two of the 6 are VERY much taller then the others
(1.40 vs .47 according to the caliper).
The others are within a few hundredths of each other, but
    I have arranged them tallest-to-shortest.
Do I assume correctly that the tallest tuner is for the low E,
and the second tallest for A, and so on?
I might add, there's a string tree on the headstock.
Am I on track or am I way off?

Staggered Klusons are made by Gotoh, there are three different heights.
The E-A height, D-G, height, and B-E height.

I believe Stew-Mac sells a template to make sure the holes are right on. I've always used a straight edge and eye balled it.

Measure like a billion times, drill once! lol
