I'm about settled on cab/speakers with my amp (after months of experimenting) and want to wire up my new StoneAge 2x12C the right way. All you lamp-wire folks can go run your errands at Lowes/HD right about now, hehehehe.

But seriously, when I upgraded my head-cab speaker cable from Canare to EA Siren II, I was very surprised and pleased with what it did for my rig. I can only imagine getting every drop of tone out of my setup by going ahead and investing in this final step/link.

What have you guys used/tested and what's favored in the way of what Lava carries?

Should I do the Siren II internally as well, it's actually the most expensive.
Vdh, VoVox, Crosslink wiring kits can all be had for less.

    Whatcha got?

I also recommend Mulder. I have rewired 3 out of my 4 cabs with Mulder Audio cable and am very pleased with the results.

I've got EA siren II in my vox BNX and it's amazing cable - I was a bit skeptical but there is a clear and audible improvement and feel with the siren II

LOL!!!! You must have paid as much for the cabling as you did for the cab!;)

I've had a Mulder speaker cable and preferred the Siren II. I'm just gonna go with it to match my head/cab cable...even though it just happens to be the most expensive "speaker cable' for internal wiring on Lava's website.

Another vote for Lava Kimber Kable 4VS, it was the final straw in my Crate V18-12 and it was a very noticeable improvement. PLUS Mark Stoddard is a great man to deal with! :AOK

I guess I'm still stuck being a lampwire cable guy. I feel better knowing that Ken F. of Trainwreck was apparently one too.

Has anyone actually done an A/B comparison of decent lampwire to the more expensive stuff in this application?

I'm using 14ga. audio component speaker cable that I picked up a Radio Shack in one of my 4x12s and it sounds great. What kind of improvement should I expect if I upgrade to the expensive stuff?
