Zoiks! One of my biggest fears. Glad you made a good recovery and I hope the same for him. I hate reality shows but I must admit got into ROCK STAR: INXS when that was on several years ago. They all seemed like really cool dudes.

Bummer. Hope he turns to Django and Phil Keaggy for inspiration!

I saw this earlier, and this...

...was my first thought. Having to stop playing would be horribly depressing for me.

I know Tony Iommi was able to adapt and thrive without the tips of his fingers, but losing an entire finger would be rough.

    Hope he recovers well!

I read it was his ring finger. I wonder if it was his ring that got caught.

Rings scare me for this very reason.

That sucks, but he's retired so if he never plays again I'm sure he'll still have a good life.

    I hope he recovers.

That's awful. I hope he gets some movement/ability back... I hate the thought of that happening to anyone.

Man, those guys have had it tough since Hutchence left this earth. Remember they were on that rock star game show to find a replacement singer? You could tell they were still devastated and desperate to recover.

I loved them in their hayday, still the best live show I ever saw was theirs during the "Kick" tour. Every song was a hit for them then....

I feel bad for the guy. It was a sailing accident. I almost lost a few fingers on a sailboat before, these things can happen quickly!

Poor bastard. I wish him a speedy recovery, he's living out one of my worst fears.

Very tragic to learn, and scary.

Reminds me why being a fisherman is a far more dangerous job than being a policeman. Hope Tim recovers quickly.

I suffered a partial ablation of my rt thumb a few years back. Nothing serious, but the pain once the shock wore off was something else! Feel sorry for him.

Hoping for a speedy and fullest recovery. I hope Tim knows when I play an INXS song, I enjoy channeling his chord chops. Great stuff and vibe.
