Finally did IOS7 update on my iPad2, works great except YouTube videos embedded in forums just show as a white area now, the few Vimeo embeds I've run across seem to work fine, just YouTube.

Yes I have restarted etc etc problem persisted across reboots. Using Safari. If I click in area where video should be it will start playing but all I get is audio, video still just a white area.

Websites like Engadget or CNET when they have embedded YouTube video seem to work fine, only in TGP and other forum I visit does this happen. Both seem to be using same forum SW.

Anybody else seeing this problem. Is annoying, am going to try another browser. Use iPad for 95% of my forum browsing these days so kinda of a bummer.

Yup; we've all got the same problem with Safari.

Same problem here, but I just installed chrome and need to find a link with an embedded YouTube to test if it's an iPad or browser problem.

I uninstalled the YouTube app and rebooted the ipad2. I then went to the App Store and searched on you tube, found and installed My YouTube Free. YouTube now works in both safari and chrome! ;)

Same problem with the iPhone. And I hate the cartoonish graphics. It seems like a step backwards.

There's always bugs in major point releases, that why I waited as long as I did before updating.

As far as graphics there has only been article after article for last few months showing what it will look like, so if you updated without knowing what it was going to look like... Your bad. I knew exactly what it was going to look like before I updated.

But I myself even though I like direction it's going/features they added wish they would have not made it so glaring and white.

    Anyway, here's a update.

Deleted YouTube app, restarted, no change.

Tried Chrome, same problem, but more intermittent and random though.

Tried Mercury browser, seem to always work right for YouTube but overall just seems slower than Safari and Chrome for basic browsing tasks, think I'll stick with this now for forum browsing till Apple and Google get their crap together.

Seems OS related being as I have same problem in Chrome and Safari. But being as other websites with embedded YouTube stuff still play ok thinking real problem here is going to point to forum SW needing to be updated for IOS7.

What does the IOS update give you that the previous update didn't??

Everybody always jumps on updates but I have found that the last Ios update haven't really given me anything so why bother updating. If its not broken or doesn't offer improvement where is the incentive to change?

Download newer IOS 7.2 as they corrected the YouTube glitch and it now works great.

If you are refering to iOS 7.0.2, it didn't fix it for me. 7.0.2 is latest update I have seen.

Most utube videos older than yesterday no longer open at all on my upgraded iPad . Then I go to my PC and they all run fine.

Apple suggested a reset even after the 7.2 upgrade and that has indeed fixed the issue!
