Damn, what a band!

I saw them in '83 on the Piece of Mind tour. Def Leppard opened I think.

I haven't seen them since then, but I would love to, as they have put out so much material in the last 26 years since then. Based on the footage I've seen, they are STILL one of the baddest bands around.

Anybody else love this band?

Some them last year; great show! They sound just as good, if not better, than when they were in their prime in the '80's. Check out the "Flight 666" movie for footage from last year's tour. Great stuff!

Also saw them November, 1983 "World Piece Tour" here in ATL at the now defunct Omni. I still have the ticket stub and tour shirt!!

Love em too. Hell you can't get away from a fan base like theirs. I mean my wife and I were on a Royal Caribbean cruise and some dude was wearing an Iron Maiden shirt....:dude

I love em. Been a huge fan since I heard Killers when I was a kid. Killers, Piece of Mind, Number of the Beast and Powerslave are all still in regular rotation on my iPod. They have been kick ass everytime I've seen them live. Awesome band.

their material from number of the beast-somewhere in time was outstanding. perhaps the most loyal fanbase of any metal band in history.
if i could go back to see one concert in history, it would be one from the powerslave tour.
argueably the best live record of all time.

Im pretty sure it was 83 when I saw them on the Piece of Mind tour with Quet Riot opening.

Great show. Still one of my favorite bands. The songs hold up and Dave Murray is still a hero to me.

I watched the Flught 666 movie last night. AGAIN!

seventh son is one of their most underrated albums. in the future it will be appreciated as motorhead's another perfect day is now appreciated.

I totally agree 100%. Best live album of its time. Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a classic.

Yeah that was a real good one. I saw them on that tour and they just slayed.
I got that one for Christmas when it first came out and we wore that tape out in my truck. lol

I saw them in '83 on the Piece of Mind tour with Fastway opening. AWESOME show...their set list wasn't yet watered down with all the later crap that they put out.
I think the well ran dry for them at Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. A couple good songs does not make a good album. Everything they've put out since (and I've bought it all hoping...) has been ho-hum.

Yep, I used to be a huge fan. Saw them twice: the "Powerslave" and
"Somewhere on" tours.

What I did notice while watching "Flight 666" is how accomplished Adrain Smith is as a blues guitarist! :dude

Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind tours were great. my Favorite album is Iron Maiden followed by Piece of Mind.

I saw them in Melbourne on the last tour last year. Took my gf along, "a blast from the past" I say - and she loved it! Not at all a metal / rock woman too.

Bruce opened up by saying they're basically going to play Live After Death. And they basically did.

I had never got to see them as a kid, Live After Death was such a favourite. I literally cried.

And I don't care who knows it.

Phenomenal!

Oh, bought three t shirts which I knew I'd never wear in public. As you do.

that's nice but all of side 2 of somewhere in time is un-listenable. and a majority of piece of mind is borderline retarded.
