Is there a pedal around the has the "maiden" tone?

Isold some rack gear, I used the marshall Jmp-1 for recordings, and freaking loved it, but I needed some cash.

ANYWAYS.. what do ya think? a pedal with super smooth distortion and endless sustain? is it out there?

MI Audio Crunchbox would be a good start, and some high output humbuckers.

Is it just the demos or does the CB sound kind of raspy and thin in person? Some pedals don't come accross well over the 'net, including tubescreamer type pedals-they usually sound lame but in person it's a whole different thing. Is this the case with the Crunchbox?

I like the Hermeidia Mosferatu for some Maiden-esque tone.

Something that tracks your leads at a different interval?

    Anything but.
I have a strat loaded with low-output single coils, and the CB turns it into a firebreather.

Hmm, I'll have to look into that one. and the Tone Bone

I have the Crunch Box and Keeley Rat, they both are great sounding pedals but WAY to gritty. I also tried the OCD not bad, but the gain seems a bit low?

Check out the MI Tube Zone. You can dial in almost anything.
