Woohoo, gonna try to catch them again and VH!!!
Link to dates and cities:
CANNOT WAIT!!!!! My 11 year old son loves this band and although he seems young, an IM concert is really the ideal band for him to see - as the fans would likely be rabidly devoted and into the music and not just a bunch of drunk punks trying to start fights and throw fireworks. It'll be atlanta or indianapolis for us.
is 11 years old too young? He'll be 12 by then...sleeps in Iron Maiden concert shirts from 1982 every night.
This one will be primarily revisting their 1988-89 tour for the Seventh Son album in both production and content.
This was the setlist on Seventh Son tour:
"The Evil That Men Do"
"Die With Your Boots On"
"Can I Play WIth Madness"
"Heaven Can Wait"
"Seventh Son of a Seventh Son"
"The Number of the Beast"
"Hallowed Be Thy Name"
Alice Cooper opening shows up to July 21. Coheed and Cambria after that.
Gonna be awesome!
I would go for 8, 9, and 10 alone!
Only show in NYC is Jones Beach- decisions, decisions...
Looks like they'll be in my neck of the woods in August. It should be good!!!
Looks like a drive from Portland to Tacoma is in the cards.
Maybe y'all will run into Lady Gaga
Seriously, there have been a lot of kids at the last few tours. Maiden's audience worldwide is trending younger, which is unheard of for a band that's been around as long as them.
Maiden's show is clean and the crowds are so into what's happening on stage that there's not a lot of moshing, fighting or other stupidity.
My GF and I took her 10 year old son to Maiden to the show in Auburn, WA a few years ago. He had a blast and the Maiden crowd is very well behaved compared to a lot of other fans...
It shouldn't be a problem. He'll remember the show for the rest of his life, that's for sure!!!
Actually, the only problem after seeing Maiden is they will have set the bar really high for his future shows...
I saw them about 2 years ago and was amazed at Dickenson's vocal. Every bit as much power & tone as back in the day.!!!
There's also a show in Newark... I'm sort of up in the air on which one to take in.
I haven't seen them since Oct. '82 on the Number of the Beat tour opening for Priest (Screaming for Vengeance).
I will be taking my ten year old to the Montreal show.
I'm going to do my best to hit the Denver show. Thanks for the heads-up on this!
My son was 11 when I took him to see Maiden back in 2010... and we were in the lawn.
Uh, Shoreline is not in San Francisco, though.
Would love to go, but probably not going to be able to fit it in the budget or schedule
If Newark is indoor- i'd go for that one if i were you. With JB, there's always the chance of a rainy, windy night...
Yeah, a Maiden concert is nothing like a Slayer concert. Difference is one is where people go to enjoy music, the other people look for an excuse to fight and get aggressive. FTR, I like both bands though.
