    He's right of course.

    I use YouTube all the time but I'm also aware that I'm NOT paying the artists for their music and that were I a recording artist I would feel ripped off.

    It's pretty simple really.

    This doesn't contradict Azoff whose beef is exclusively with YouTube/Google and the outdated DMCA. He is happy with the amount of cash thrown off by Spotify and Apple Music. However at the same time smaller, independent artists whose streaming revenue is minimal to say the least continue to benefit from producing physical media including vinyl.
