I saw a note dated 12/20/07 on His website that He was shipping Sept. 07 orders. So the wait is down to 3 or 4 months? Maybe I should get one!

I bought and sold one when they were selling for around the same price used as new. At that time My only guitar had an SSS config.

I don't get this, it's all I hear about the Zendrive. My main guitar is a stock '62 AVRI Strat and the Zendrive sounds great to me. All it takes is a couple of people saying something like this and it's gospel.

Well it is gospel for Me. It was a very pedal-ish od for Me. I was very disappointed after all the hype. It was all mid range and not in a good way. Sounded a lot like this pedal. I read a lot of comments that it needs a humbucker to sound good so I've been thinking of giving it another shot. Just that up until now it was too expensive to get a used one. Just My .02

I like the pedal a great deal, but you have to spend some time with it.I will also say it may be one of the best pedals I have had the pleasure to use in about 36 years of playing guitar.

i found it east to get it going with single coils?? neck pickup helps..and i stack it with a very, very light barber LTD drive....sounds smooth, sustain, etc. etc.
just pull the tone.. knob down a bit with singles ?? gets a bit warmer.."bigger" sorry to hijack..:YinYang

yes his turnaround time is getting shorter..

I tested the Zendrive with both humbuckers and single-coils, and to me it DID NOT stand out as "only" a HB pedal...it worked WELL with both. It took some tweaking initially to learn how interactive all controls works, but once you get a hold of, very usable, and sounded great both through a strat and PRS.

Another thing I heard was that it doesn't work so well with EL-84 amps. I have two of them, and NO ISSUES with the Zendrive whatsoever. If I;m correct, Brad Paisley uses mainly EL-84 amps..and the zendrive.

I agree with jb1911, all it takes is a few people with opinions and it quickly gets inflated.

I love the Zendrive with my Tele, not so much with my p-90 loaded guitar. I think it probably works better in general with less compressed pups, with lower midrange content. Otherwise it can get nasally.

Sorry, forget the main point. I ordered mine in Early August, and got it in late November.

Opinions are not bad if they are taken for what they are: opinions. The negative side is when opinions are used as benchmarks for certain products by others, because they are just what they are: opinions.
