She got rich from telling jokes. So whether or not you think she's funny, she's funny.

    Move on.

She should show up on Two & a Half Men sometime.

I find her funny but she's not one of my favorites. I do wonder how this poll would go on a forum mostly populated by women. The women in my life tend to find her very funny.

I do find her funnier than Seth Rogan in the commercials they share (but he does seem funnier around her).

Point being, if you like her or her comedy, you're in a very small minority according to the voting. Most of us think she sucks and have only insulted her in the process, not those who disagree.

You could substiture ADC for Schumer and get in time machine for the 80's and the unfunny critiques were all coming from women.

Does seem to justify some of her actions...

Yes. Yes she is. I suspect TGP may not be her demographic, but she was a successful stand up for some years and she has a very successful comedy show. She makes a ton of coin making a lot of people laugh. Clearly a lot of people think she is funny.

    Peace,

It doesn't matter if you like their art. They're artists, successful artists.

Huh, I guess I was a toddler in the 80s, but I have never found ADC to be remotely funny, obviously ymmv.

Well it is not remotely surprising that the typical demographic of TGP does not find her funny. But I am not sure that means anything except middle aged men dont find her funny. These threads are always strange to me, in some respects if comes across like the OP is incapable of determining for themselves whether or not they like a particular style of art. Or that they are so insecure in their own beliefs that they need to find some kind of comfort in numbers, as if they lack confidence in their own perception and are relived to find that others share it. One thing the internet has taught us is that any opinion someone could hold about something will be expressed on any topic.

I am never sure these threads are productive, what do they prove? Is anyone coming here hoping to be persuaded by the poll outcome? Will anyone look at the poll and see 2/3 of TGP dont think she is funny and then decide, I guess she is not funny?

Her comedy specials and skits are all over the internet, people who are interested could watch a few and see if they laugh, worst case they are out a few minutes.

Or we could start a thread with a poll...

    Damn good point sir.

People smart enough to bust out with what their audiences want to hear get nothing but respect from me. They're playing the game/system and WINNING.

How many people can actually say that, despite the small demographic that posts in The Pub?

This made me laugh, Boss Man Bing...agreed though, especially on middle aged men not liking dick jokes from a woman.

I could care less what some people think. I dig Richard Pryor, Amy Schumer, Robert Schimmel, Louis C.K. and a couple tunes from Justin Bieber. I don't get not knowing what you like or not.

Even your avatar seems to think so, judging by that look on his face...
