I've heard rumours about a revised Shiva coming out this summer. Any care to verify or kill this exciting news?

There wasn't much wrong with the original Shiva IMHO. I think that's the model that Jerry Cantrell used on his solo stuff. Oddly enough, it wasn't aggressive enough for me, but i can appreciate the attraction it holds for many others. It's a fine amp...can't imagine how Bogner could improve it.

    Umm.....

They have a mod they do for boost control. I think they are working on that and a gain taper. at least that's what I hope :drool

That and some kind of fix for the FX loop would be a great upgrade.

It's already "out"...the green chassis models now have adjustable boost on the front panel - more important the voicing has been slightly shifted. Some values were changed to open it up a bit and the new versions are not voiced as dark. This info coming from a very reliable source this last week...

This is great news, IMO. I've never liked the Shiva due to a percieved congestion and lack of a more open sound. I'll check newer one out ASAP.

    :jo

That sucks. The Shivas voicing is what makes it great. All it needs is a hair more gain and conrtrolable boost w/ better fx loop.

    Oh well.

They need to ship some Duendes and leave the Shiva alone.

It's supposed to have a shade more gain, the boost level IS now controllable, and the loop issues were fixed so that it will accept a normal cord. Green chassis versions moving forward have these changes, and anything built in the last few months is supposed to be voiced a bit gainier and a shade brighter.

I would love to try one out too....loved my first Shiva.

Fat, rich and sparkely. Doesn't break up much at all but it is very sweet and handles FX like a dream.

i think its one of the better clean tones out there. not for a higher gain amp, for any amp. although i tend to stay away from the squeaky clean tones. the shiva has a nice full clean tone

My dream Bogner was Uber clean (insanely underrated IMO) and XTC Blue + boost.

Bogner told me to buy both amps :D

I thought the cleans on the Shiva were OK, but I much preferred the Metro's cleans. Very nice.

How nice of Bogner to tell you to buy both amps, enharmonic!
