Loads of music afficionados and pros like Noel Gallagher seem to think so. What do you think?

While we're at it, does anyone know what Marr did to the guitar track? Sounds like there's a volume swell at the beginning of each note and chord.

It's the 'sun shines out of our behinds' line, that is the most poignant.

My old band used to cover The Headmaster Ritual (I learned it in standard tuning), Ask, and another one, I forget.

I love playing That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore, and Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, for fun...

G.G. Allin wrote the most romantic songs ever. :crazyguy

I'd think that "the most romantic song ever" would strictly be a personal choice. Personally I never heard of G.G. Allin

I think that song is one of the best disenfranchised "us vs. them" rebel without a cause teen angst type woe is us song ever. It's romantic in a New Romantics type of way. But it's a polar opposite of what folks usually call Romance, schmaltzy as it is, and the more popular definition of Romance. I tend to live more edgy twee in the middle, and think There She Goes by The La's is more my speed for the kind of feel I like from my romantic songs. Is it a girl? Is it heroin? Who knows!

The line 'breathe out so I can breathe you in' is one of the best lyrics ever. IMO

How bout, "Wear the Glove Get the Love"

I vote for the Roberta Flack version of First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.
