Is hearing believing? The McGurk Effect

    Saw this out on YT, and found it to be amazing. Those who don't think that their ears can be tricked by their eyes need to watch this video. Even when you know you're being tricked, you still get tricked.

    That was very interesting, makes you wonder in what other ways what we hear is influenced by what we see.

    Oh man,McGurk principle is STILL debated to this day. (Not much though...it's pretty much accepted as factual.)

    If you can hear,you will be 'fooled'. If you're deaf,it doesn't make a difference.

    If you really want your mind blown consider that even the video is a trick. The person in it was actually saying "rubber duck" the entire time (which you then saw as variously "fa" or "ba").
