Is it safe to run...

I just got an 8 ohm EV EVM12L reissue in the mail today, and I was planning on running it in my Avatar 2x12. I just realized that the speakers in the Avatar are both 16 ohm. Would it be safe to run the 8 ohm EV with a 16 ohm Eminence GB12 in an 8 ohm cabinet?

it would no longer be an 8 ohm cabinet ... and i'm pretty sure one of the speakers would be a lot louder than the other.

hmm.. which one would be louder? the 8 ohm or 16?

The impedance with both of these speakers wired in parallel would be 5.33 ohms.
You can run it safely on the 4-ohm output setting of your amplifier if you have one.

Also the EV will use more of the power than the 16 ohm speaker and may be louder. Bob
