I have one of the originals, and it stopped working. No sound no nothing.

I took it to a repair shop in Portland. They said it was just the switch. 5 months later, and just about no use at all, it was dead again and I was out $45.00. Its been sitting here for well over 7 years now.

Since they have reissued it and you can snag one for a beer over $100 on ebay, is it worth rolling the repair dice again?

If its the switch, maybe wire it with a TB switch ala Keely. The re-issue is NOT the same as the old Maxon built AD-9. Fix it right and you'll be loving it.

I am thinking I need to send it to someone who is above the "well, I never worked on one like that but I can have a look" Gomer. Can anyone suggest a good pedal repair man/woman/person type etc.....

Send it to Keely and maybe have it modded while there. It will sound and perform better than you can have imagined.

Fix it and sell. I had one I sold for $250 on ebay a while back.
