Yeah, but the current trend is that it’ll get deleted and then next week someone else will have the same experience, post about it, and be perplexed at the ensuing havoc.

Pretty sure at this point at least 18 users have a Word doc that they’ve accumulated their best quips for such occasions.

Pedal drama proves that things must be pretty good when folks have time to complain about luxury items like pedals.

It’s amazing that everyone can agree there is killer gear at all price ranges, and yet people get in an uproar over perceived hype, perceived exclusiveness, perceived overpricing.

I think pedal dramas happen because pedals are often made by individuals rather than corporations; everything is much more personal. See, for example, the current thread about Fulltone:

You don't get this sort of response from Fender or Marshall. I think buyers also have high expectations of pedals, which they hope will transform their tone (these days, tone is much more important than musicality), so they are often disappointed.

But then, I own no pedals, so what would I know?

You don’t get email replies from Leo Fender and Jim Marshall?

    Not anymore.....

Little known Fender fact - Leo had drawn up plans for the World Wide Interwebz. He called it the 'Monza Maze' or something. True story.

At the risk of generating a self-referential quantum black hole, I wonder if pedal drama drama will take over TGP one day. :)

OTOH, we seem to have passed the JAFOD event horizon some time ago so maybe the site is proof against a catastrophic space-time collapse event.

True bypass drama or buffered drama.

Either way when you run it at 18v you get more pure hatred before it breaks up into drama.

Besides this thread there is only 1 thread on the front page here that doesn't deal directly with gear. :confused

I like to think of it as "Tiger Beat: The Viagra Edition", myself.

Beem a member for a very long time and IMO there is the same amount of drama now as it was when I joined back in the stone age.
