Nope. I get paid usually within 24 hours and I'm in Canada.
Good for you!
Maybe I should move to Canada so I can withdraw my money from Reverb
I’m not a fan of shipping the gear before I get paid.
Same. Especially getting paid well after the buyer received the item. It’s not right. I might be done with Reverb after this.
What’s especially irritating is the now almost complete lack of customer support.
However, here the buyer paid my Reverb account immediately, so being a good seller I shipped the pedal. It never occurred to me that it would be impossible to withdraw my money from my Reverb account.
So the buyer isn’t at fault in any way, and I wouldn’t penalise them for someone else’s issue.
If only Reverb could extend the same courtesy to me
Separately, I have now emailed Etsy’s CEO, since they acquired Reverb. Perhaps the parent company might be able to help?
Pulling my listings from Reverb. What a joke! Even the reverb guy who responded here hasn’t even checked in. Just bad form all around. I thought it was super lame when I had to wait an entire week to get my money for sold pedals while PayPal would put it right in my account instantly and I could spend it on something else 5 minutes later. Maybe I’ll go back to EBay, or just sell locally now.
I’m as mystified as anyone on this one.
at very least, you could communicate w/ @timmerel privately.
unless you got fired for posting here, but..... even then.
i admit that it confuses me that someone could actually sell something of their own through Reverb without already having had their receiving bank account confirmed for transfers; how is that even a thing?
this is becoming the new norm. We get used to it or sell locally.
this is where reverb is mucking up. They need to let sellers now or make it policy that if you want to sell you need to have bank info on file so you can transfer money. This will give the sellers the option to go ahead or bail.
Reverb 4 days ago: you should hear back within 48 hours
4 days later: ?
I'm in the same situation here. I've been waiting for my payout for more than a month now. They keep coming back to me that there is errors with my bank account infos, but they have been validated by my bank, and this is the infos that I use on all my transactions...so I call BS on this
I am sorry to hear that, and am shocked that others appear to have been dealing with this longer than me.
@reverbofficial - is this a known issue?
You gotta love that slippery word choice.....yes, that's what *should* happen, when everyone is on-the-level and doing what's right. Imagine instead if he'd have said "you WILL hear back in 48 hours".
I'm beginning to think ETSY is short for "Eat The Suck You!"
Heard back from Reverb. The options presented were:
(1) Wait while the dev team tries to fix the issue this week; or
(2) Get my my money by PayPal now, but have my Reverb account (including 100% track record of great feedback over years) cancelled.
I said that I didn’t think it was right to have my Reverb account cancelled in order to withdraw my money.
What a Turd Move.... Thank you for doing business with Reverb - Etsy. Which eye would you like us to poke out with a stick sir?
(1) FU, maybe you'll get your money
the funds are approved for release once the tracking number is updated on the Reverb platform. Funds are remitted shortly thereafter and I have always received the funds in my bank account prior to the buyer receiving the goods (Even when shipping guitars overnight air mail). This is a similar process to PayPal, however, with PayPal, I now receive the funds in my bank account the same day as my transfer request (and yes, I am also in Canada.....).
Once OP has his bank account details loaded in his Reverb account by a Reverb rep., it should work smoothly. My set up was done a few years ago and it took a few days.
That’s the issue - no way to do that for my Reverb account.
