Does anyone know if Lovepedal still makes his Vintage 1/2 watt amp? I tried emailing them, but got an automated can't reply message. Thanks.

Try the Noisy Cricket amp, that's being built by Dano @ beavisaudio.com. Great website with a great little amp!!!

I bought one over a year or so ago and promptly sent it back - the pot was scratchy and I wanted to clean it, but couldn't because the entire pot and associated electronics were hidden under a huge black blob of epoxy. If I can't work on a device, I don't want it. YMMV.

There's the Tube Cricket - it's a project between Dano from Beavis Audio and Mark from OLCircuits. Like the Noisy Cricket, but with a tube.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm still shopping around. I am thinking I might try something like the noisy/tube cricket. I haven't burned myself with a soldering iron in a while :)

I have a regular Smokey like the one in that vid...not bad for a cheapy, sounds better in a drawer or muffled with something, kinda raw otherwise.

The Noisey Cricket is great...I like it a lot better than the much pricier ZVEX mini amp.

The Tube Cricket looks like a lot of fun...but needs taller roll bars! :)
