Is The Guitar Fetish Stuff Worth It?

I have a buddy looking into the Guitar Fetish bodies and necks to build a cheap tele. I know the neck and neck pockest are dfferent dimansions that original Fender. Is everything else on the parts that way? Also, what is the quality of these $50 necks and $75 bodies?

Why not looking into the Squier Classic Vibe tele at $300 new ? All the basic components are great and the stock pups are pretty stout and sound fine..a lot less work for a pro instrument, imho.
