I'm looking for one. Maybe there is a reason they don't make them? Lmk.
I just ordered a custom Petersen Cab for this, may actually be a standard model from Matt,
Highly recommend, top quality
Matt is Tonefree on the forum
I solved this "problem" by having Sour Mash build me an 18 watt sized head cabinet. I can use it with almost any cabinet now...without it looking unbalanced.
I have on looking for a home. This is a Reason built oversize 12 cab I bought direct from Reason Amps. It is really a deep 2-12 cab but you only use one 12 inch speaker. I currently have a EVM12L in it and wow! You can easily put the second 12 inch speaker in it and use it as a 2-12 cab as well. I have been using it with a Marshall JCM-800 Head. PM me if interested.
LOL.. I love my 1965A 4x10 but even a small box hangs over both edges... not too much. What I've been doing with that is have the cab and the head cock-eyed, appearing as if I didn't care It actually looks better that way, well in a jam band sit.
Custom build is probably the best bet, or find an empty 1936 cab and try it with one speaker open as a port or block it with a piece of 1/2" ply screwed in with the speaker lugs.
Is the primary reason for 1x12 weight?
Mesa royal Atlantic cab is 27"
Any of the custom cab builders around will build you one.
Peterson cabs are very well made, and I wouldn't hesitate to order from him.
That is a very nice wall of gear. Beautiful looking guitar as well.
Great. Thanks for the information. I'm working out a deal now.
Peterson 1x12 I recently purchased.
MRT- if you don't mind answering, why 1x12 ?
I have a Mesa cab that will.
My 18 watt box was a more cost effective solution (for me) because I've already got several cabinets of different sizes from small 1x12's to a 4x12. I've also got 1965B which makes the head look like it was built for it.
