    but seriously...what? any pedal u recommend that could do the metalzone sound without all the hiccups?

    How is it possible to be that tone deaf? I expect that sort of thing from a 12-year old in guitar center.

    I used to have a metal zone and I really do think that it gives the sound of that video...it is sort of thin but that what metal zone sounds like...

    Might want to check out keeley mod MT-2 a friend of mine has one on the way haven't heard it myself though.

    What couldn't get that sound. I could get that tone from any transiter amp on the market.

    That tone was thin and very cheesy sounding actually. Metal Zone with the treble cranked no bass on the pedal or amp(preferrably a transistor amp) should do it! Take a listen to Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Paul Kossoff, Marc Ford, Warren Haynes, etc if you want to hear real tone...shred is very, very DEAD!!!

    With all due respect,dun think Guthrie was ever trying for a Beck or Clapton tone...

    well I guess this makes things easier for me...I love this tone...after all..its all personal aint it:AOK
