Hi out there, looking for some Takamine expertise. I’m looking at a decade old or more like new G530 and a new GD30. Is the construction and design of the GD30 any better really? The GD It’s got the pin less bridge and two piece saddle and the G530 has the traditional bridge and one piece saddle. Is this difference significant? Also, I don’t know, are there other construction differences that will matter over the long haul? Thickness of the top wood maybe or something like that?
    Thanks!!!

Well, the best way to answer the question is to play them both, since individual differences within a model line often trump the differences between the models in general. I'd prefer a traditional bridge and one-piece saddle for a number of reasons, but that doesn't guarantee a superior tone, since there are other big variables.

THAnks for that unfortunately I can’t okay the GD30 ahead of time because it’s an online purchase option... which would you go for?
