Very much so. Everything on both panels is exactly identical to a first-generation Mini Rectifier.

I missed a word - "copying". I assume the Chinese do create original designs for things, but damned if I can figure out where or when.

Dual rectifier build, compare to other similar heads. This is a huge value.
    Hand made in China.

    EL84 and 12AX7 tubes

Amazing value compared to leading maker of dual rectifier amps. !!

I would say it is a direct rip off. I'd pay the extra 3 bills and get the real deal used.

Doubt Mesa need to worry about these... if they look this low quality, imagine what's in there.

I bet it would be tougher than we think these days for Chinese manufacturing to build and sell a Mini-Rec of the exact same quality as Mesa for substantially less than a good second-hand example of the real deal.

I'm not sure that quality is a target for these. I'd suspect very low quality for the counterfeits and copies. I am surprised you can import these in any sort of quantity to make enough money to make it worthwhile to simply tool up.

Chances are it's made in one of the same factories that make amps for the big boys. I do like the look better then Mesa. Any they have other amps and it looks like they are made by Goldea.

They have a combo version with a V30 and if it goes low enough I may take a shot but I can't find much on Goldea amps except short demos on You Tube. Anyone try one in person?

It looks similar to the Mesa but I bet internally or sonically it falls way short of the Boogie
Just like the Chibsons vs Gibsons.
People love buying knockoff junk though so Im sure this counterfeit will appeal too some.

I have found picks of there little Champ style amps but they are turret board and look pretty good. I am sure the Rec is pcb. I think I am going to pick up one of the Champs to check out and if I like that mabye try the Dual Rec.

Yeah they all come from Goldea amps it seems. There are a bunch of tweed champ amps that seem to be from them also on Ebay under diffrent names. I would like to hear more about the Mesa clone one but I think I am going to jump on one of the Champs since I have been wanting one thats hand made on a turret board so I can work on it easily.

I went ahead and bought one of the 5 watt amps. I see others on Ebay selling the same ones for over $300 and I got mine for $195 shipped. Hell the cab, tubes and iron aremworth more than that! I contacted them and the cab is real wood and the tubes are Ruby. I think the speaker may be cheap but I can change that.

The Rec clone combo is also real wood with Ruby tubes. If I like the little guy may go for the Rec combo to. I have always wanted a Dual Rec for those highgain moments but don't play that style enough justify paying over a grand for one.
