It's pricey even for a fairly clean PR. I'd say something like that would go for around $1350 -1425 range. I'd only pay that Buy it Now price for a pristine inside and out PR
I don't think they sound any better than other fenders but at 12 watts they are limited IMO.
Too pricey. A good deal would be sub $1k.
A reasonable going rate would be as mentioned before
in the $1350.00 range. I've seen them in $1100.00 range
I've seen them up for over $2000, e.g. http://www.dipintoguitars.com/vintage/Default.htm.
There seems to be some contention around how much these are really worth.
Dealer prices are always inflated compared to an invididual seller. You tend to pay more for that dealer's reputation and supposed fact checking. You can take a look at Freedom Guitar in San Diego for some hella inflated prices that are beyond outrageous. But as it stands the market for Blackface Fenders is
Good-not flawless Condition
Princeton Reverb - $1350-1400
Pro Reverb - $1500-1600
Super Reverb - $1750-1850
Deluxe Reverb - $1900-2050
Asking price and selling price are always two different numbers.
This market is really too difficult to call shots IMHO. BFPR's are great amps. Within the past 6 months, they've sold generally between $1200 and $2000. How much cash do you have, how bad do you want one, and how long do you want to look?
Tell you what....if somebody else buys it out from under you, then it was reasonable. If the auction closes with no sale, then it was too much.
Someone else just started a thread about scoring a BFPR for $1000.
Maybe this guy would be willing to sell? Whatever the case I would pass on the ebay auction.
